Now I am not much only the whole Beckham in America thing (honestly it does nothing in my opinion) but seeing the Beloved Becks get a straight red puts a smile on my face. I don’t understand how having a player that was supposed to revolutionize soccer in America should be a god of the sport? How does playing few matches and being on a team that is not in the playoffs for the last 2 seasons and fighting again for a 3rd straight season deserve any more respect than any player from say…the Red Bulls? And to top it off a player that has pretty much made it clear that the US is not for him?
Someone please let me know when Beckham can do more than an OK free kick. There was a time where Beckham was a great player. That time was before he sold out to go to Real Madrid. When Becks was at Manchester United, before money became a big factor, he was a great player to watch. Now if he can’t make money off of it, don’t expect Beckham to be there (unless he can get in a fight with a fan…sorry couldn’t help it).
